This casual taco shop, from Phoenix-based restaurant group, Upward Projects, mixes modern touches and retro flair with a healthy dose of indoor-outdoor living. Set in a refurbished 1970s building, a wraparound patio with retractable floor-to-ceiling glass walls (Series 600) from Western Window Systems serves as one of the restaurant’s key features, blurring the boundaries between indoor and outdoor dining spaces.
This stacking multi-slide door opens up the main dining room of Joyride to a casual patio dining space.
Western’s hinged windows are utilized as well. From RSP Architects, and Shannon Construction.
With all the multi-slides open, the boundary between the inside and the outdoors virtually disappears
Multi-slide doors flank three sides of the restaurant.
